One of the most widely used thermoplastics, Prototal UK offers PEEK as part of our additive manufacturing services.
Ideal for components requiring flexibility and resistance to chemicals, creep, and heat.
A high-performance engineering thermoplastic, PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is the most widely manufactured and utilised of the polyketone group.
This is down to PEEK holding a range of mechanical properties, including high physical and environmental resistance. PEEK’s robustness and strength mean it is used commonly for demanding applications, and is invaluable in engineering sectors.
PEEK’s semi-crystalline nature means its properties do not change with temperature, and its flexibility is due to internal ether linkages within the polymer.
Intended for use in fused deposition modelling, PEEK is printed at temperatures between 180°C and 230°C.
Through our FDM Roboze Argo 500 capabilities, we can accurately produce components from PEEK within 24 hours.
