While you may know Vapour Smoothing is not new to Prototal UK, what is new is our recent move to bring this process internally at our HQ in Newbury.
With our acquisition of an AMT SF-100 machine, we now offer an even more complete finishing process in-house. This allows customers to receive their parts quicker while maintaining the same finish they are accustomed to.
Vapour Smoothing is a great option for parts that require a smooth finish which is watertight and is comparable to the offerings of injection moulding. By exposing parts to vaporised solvent, our new SF-100 also enhances part colour and can even reduce bacteria growth.
Our SF-100 will work on our TPU95A parts made using our HP 4210 Multi-Jet Fusion machine to greatly reduce surface roughness and improve shore hardness. With the PA11 & PA12 parts produced on our EOS machine fleet, benefits also include increased functionality and tensile strength.
